Extract selected pages or split a PDF into smaller files

Split PDF helps when you only need certain pages from a longer document or want to divide it into separate files. Select pages visually, enter page numbers and ranges, then choose the output mode that matches your task. You can keep your selection in one new PDF, create a separate PDF for each selected page or create separate PDFs for specific ranges.

Three ways to split a document

  • Selected pages → one PDF: keep pages 1 and 6 from a longer report in a single new document.
  • Selected pages → separate PDFs: export selected pages individually; multiple results are delivered as a ZIP.
  • Ranges → separate PDFs: enter non-overlapping ranges such as 1-3, 4-6 to make two documents from a six-page PDF.

How to split PDF pages

  1. Choose one PDF and inspect its pages.
  2. Select pages or enter an appropriate range, then choose one-file, per-page or range-based output.
  3. Create the output and download the PDF or ZIP. IT Drawer processes the source document in your browser without uploading it.

This tool extracts and splits existing PDF pages; it does not retype scanned text or add OCR. For changing order, rotating or removing pages in a document you want to keep together, use Organize PDF.

Common questions

Can I extract several pages into a single PDF?

Yes. Choose selected-pages-to-one-PDF mode; the extracted pages retain their original order.

Can I make a separate PDF for every selected page?

Yes. Choose the separate-files mode. When more than one PDF is created, the results download as a ZIP.

Can I split a document into several page ranges?

Yes. Enter non-overlapping ranges such as 1-3, 4-6. Each range becomes a separate PDF in the entered group order; page numbers ascend within each range.

Is the source PDF sent to a server?

No. The document is processed in your browser and the original remains unchanged.
